Tonight, the longest running rock band from New Orleans performs two sets at the Maple Leaf Bar on Oak Street.  Back in their infancy, students and other denizens of uptown descended on the tiny bar to hear that fishhead music.  There was an added perk to seeing the band back in the day.  They charged two dollars at Tipitina’s, but it was a mere single bill to see them at the Leaf.  Needless to say, the cover will be considerably larger tonight, but then again, so is the band.
