Wednesday- October 13, 2010- Khris Royal’s jazz funk band plays nearly every week at the Blue Nile except when the talented young saxophonist is on the road with his boss, George Porter, Jr. and their band, the Runnin’ Pardners.  Tonight Porter is scheduled to appear as a special guest along with the Dirty Dozen Brass Band’s drummer at the Frenchmen Street club.  Keyboardist Brian Coogan will play the whole show and Matthew Persons aka M@ Peoples will add some raps. Nona Narcisse is also expected to add her burlesque stylings to the proceedings.
