Thursday- October 14, 2010- the blues guitarist and environmental activist will join Johnny Vidacovich and George Porter, Jr. at the Maple Leaf this evening.  Benoit has been one of the most vocal Louisiana musicians in advocating for the wetlands that are disappearing at an alarming rate in south Louisiana.  Last night, Porter joined Khris Royal for two songs at the Blue Nile including a super funky version of the Meters’, “He Bite Me.”
