New Release from Meters Guitarist Leo Nocentelli

New Release from Meters Guitarist Leo Nocentelli!

Attention! Attention! There is a hot, hot, hot new release out today from Meters guitarist Leo Nocentelli. Entitled “Rhythm & Rhymes Part 1,” it features 5 new tracks composed by funk master Leo Nocentelli. For this recording, Leo assembled an All Star Band of  New Orleans funk luminaries, including Russell Batiste of the funky Meters and Vida Blue on drums, Stanton Moore of Galactic and The Meters Experience on drums, Big Chief and Jazz Legend Donald Harrison Jr, as well as New Orleans legends Dr. John and Al “Carnival Time” Johnson.

As the sole writer of such hits as (to name a few) as Cissy Strut, Look Ka Py Py, Same Ol’ Thing, Rigor Mortis, Funky Miracle, 9 to 5, Ease Back, and Cordova (and at times generously sharing credits with a vehicle he called The Meters), Nocentelli gained early recognition amongst his peers.

Leo has recorded with such artists as Stevie Wonder, Bonnie Raitt, The Supremes, The Temptations, Paul McCartney, Dr. John, Sting, Peter Garbriel, and many, many more.
